Place Value with QR Codes
Looking for a way to review place value with students? I have posted a Place Value QR Code Worksheet on my TPT store. This was a great hit and easy review for my 4th grade students. As our PSSA test date approaches, it is great to pull out skills taught near the start of school to review. My students completed the Place Value QR sheet independently and then used our classroom iPads to scan the QR Codes and check their answers all on their own. It was so great to be able to continue working with a small group of math students while each of my students had instant feedback on their independent work! LOVE QR Codes!

Get Fit with Math Night
Last week my school hosted a new event we called "Get Fit with Math" night. Teachers volunteered to host different math sessions for parents and students. Sessions ranged from math related card games, interactive learning carpets, bedtime math activities, and math apps for iPads. This night was all about engaging parents and students in FUN math activities they could do at home. We had a wonderful turnout and it was so much fun! I hosted a session about iPad Apps specifically for 3rd and 4th grade math skills. I made a little handout and linked a symbaloo page with my favorite math apps as well. These are the skill practice apps I find most helpful in my 4th grade classroom. You definitely should check them out! Here is the link to my Symbaloo.
First Blog Starts...NOW!
I have been thinking about starting a blog for quite a while and have finally worked up the courage! I plan to use this blog to share ideas about what I am doing in my classroom. I have a strong passion for the use of technology to enhance learning for each of my students. I hope I can share some wonderful ideas that you may be able to use in your own classroom. I'm sure I will continue to learn from all of my fellow bloggers!
